Talking Politics is a new weekly cable series that will present forums on important local issues with the newsmakers themselves. Each show will have a guest moderator leading a lively discussion between candidates, politicians, officials, developers and community activists regarding a current topic affecting Hudson County or its largest municipality - Jersey City .  

Our preview program will introduce the series and its objectives and then commence a roundtable discussion among several known and respected print journalists "talkin' county politics". Talking Politics' first programs will focus on the upcoming primary and fall campaigns for the County Executive and the various freeholders. Talking Politics anticipates that this year's race will live up to Hudson County 's infamous reputation for heated and controversial contests. In addition to presenting a forum for the candidates themselves, Talking Politics will interview the behind-the-scenes players that run the campaigns.  

Future shows of Talking Politics will present the critical issues confronting the residents of Jersey City, including excessive property taxes, the controversial tax abatement program, the never-ending development of the waterfront, a layman's examination of our municipal budget, the development of a sound transportation system and preservation of the area's historic and natural resources.  

The show's creative team is composed of producers, directors and community activists that will give Talking Politics a unique perspective from their respective backgrounds.
